What kind of services does my session include?
Your session fee includes a pre-session telephone consultation as well as a 1-2 hour session at the location of your choice. Dawn can assist you with clothing selection if you desire. This session fee is for time only and does not include prints. You will be shown 35-40 images from your photo session in an online gallery. Additional locations would be charged at $50 per location.
What will my professional proofs look like?
Great care is taken when preparing your photographs for viewing. All proofs are processed by Dawn. Many proofs are post-processed showing you almost exactly how the finished product will appear. When viewing your proofs it's important to pay more attention to the expressions in the photo and less to the finishing technique used. Every photo is taken in full color and is then converted to black & white, sepia, or any other artistic style which can then be easilly changed later. Expressions, however, can not.
I need to cancel my appointment. Is my session fee refundable?
Session fees are not refundable, however you may be able to reschedule at no additional cost if more than 24 hours notice is given. Remember the full session fee is due 7 days prior to your scheduled session.
What should be worn to the session?
Individual style is always a consideration in clothing selection. Dawn works toward a timeless yet fun look to her work. For individual sessions you are encouraged to bring a variety of clothing so Dawn can assist you in your choices. Bright, colorful clothing & accessories are terrific for individual sessions that are catered to one person. For group or family portraits, solid, coordinating colors work best and if you have any questions feel free to bring several outfits to the session for help.
Don't worry about making sure everybody looks perfect. Windblown hair, crooked smiles, holes in your favorite jeans are all parts of your world, so why not remember it exactly as it is? The goal of our session together is to capture YOUR life as it is today.
Are you available for events or do you travel out of the state for photography events?
Yes, I am available for any event. Birthdays, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Engagements, Weddings....the sky is the limit. I will travel throughout the Charlotte, NC area.
Do you give away rights to a photograph after I purchase it?
No. Rooftop Studios/Dawn Roof retains the copyrights to all photographs taken. Reprints of ordered images are available at any time within 1 year of your session. Unordered images are only guaranteed available for 60 days after your order.
What products are avaible?
